The point of this is to get you interested in my good friend Rob and his work! Rob, or ~maddoxmisery as he is known, is an artist, and a damn good one at that! His dream has been to take all of his thoughts and ideas and to share them with the world in the form of comics. He's working independently though so well sales have been pretty low due to a lack of people actually knowing about him, and I'm going to try to change that by telling people! Yay me! Now he's been working on two major projects, Misery Machine and Dead Witch.

Misery Machine is his first comic, which the first volume is available for purchase here. Here's a synopsis of the story:

The overall series is about a man with a dark power he can't control, he is being hunted like an animal. All the while he reconnects with his past to unravel the mystery of his origins, finding the sinister truth of a government gone insane and the repurposing of cold war projects.

Issue One deals with the introduction to Locke and Lilith. A horrible accident has befallen Locke after three years away. Prompting a pointless mission on the part of Lilith, his old friend. All the while the incident has awakened the beast...

Issue Two (which is coming soon) has Locke and Lilith on the run when things begin to get really strange...

I do actually own issue one and it's really cool! I'm dying to find out what happens next and you should be too!! But if your interest has not been piqued enough, by clicking here you can preview the first few pages of the comic and fall in love with it dammit! However there is a strong use of language so if you're offended by that, you ought to steer clear my friend.

And that's pretty much all their is on Misery Machine right now as he is currently working on the aforementioned Dead Witch project. This one hasn't been released yet as he's still working on it but I'm sure it'll be great when it finally gets released!

The storyline to this one (and I'm directly quoting him on this one and if this doesn't pique your interest at all then you're just not human! ) is as follows:

A three issue miniseries about a newly back from the dead (supposedly) witch who has a bit to learn about her new found magic abilities. She is Nameless. From a far off land skilled in the art of gunplay and the many dark arts, she fights the hordes of undead now filling the great city (its not that great..kind of like somewhere in new jersey).

Yes zombies, nazi zombies, new jersey, witches, lots of blood and icky stuff, and blatantly goofing on the whole wide range of genres only to name some of the weirdness of the whole damn thing. Think evil dead/trigun/pretty much any kevin smith movie.

Sorry I couldn't help it, that description of the series nearly made me pee my pants it was so funny! Teehee yep, anyways here are some preview images from the series:
